The Drummondville Rangers are one of the League's original franchises. They operated in the QMJHL for 5 seasons.
The most recognizable figures of the franchise over the years: forwards Pierre Plante, Yvon Lambert, Michel Archambault, Claude Larose; defensemen Jean Hamel and Guy Provost. Goaltender André Lepage was amongst the team's biggest assets. He was named a QMJHL second team All-Star in back-to-back seasons (1972-73 and 1973-74).
After missing the playoffs for two consecutive years, the Rangers left the QMJHL at the conclusion of the 1973-74 season.
